Review: The Naked Gun
Classic Comedy Reboot
Liam Neeson starring in a comedy? You’ve got to be joking, right? Well, no, actually. The veteran movie hard man plays it suitably deadpan alongside a rejuvenated Pamela Anderson, and pulls off the comedy of the year.
If you’re familiar with the Leslie Neilson originals from the late 80s and 90s, you’ll know that the humour in this police procedural parody is broad and sometimes groansomely obvious - but, hey, that’s part of the fun. Sure, it’s daft; but Naked Gun is consistently laugh out loud funny all the way to the closing credits.
