West Brom's Complicated Ownership Structure

In this latest draft from my forthcoming book “Where’s The Money Gone - One Fan’s Football Finance Odyssey” I can reveal for this first time West Bromwich Albion’s full - and hugely complicated - ownership structure.

Ultimate ownership rests - as the club have said - with Guochuan Lai’s investment firm Yunyi Guokai (Shanghai) Sports Development Company - but Yunyi Guokai’s shareholding is divvied up among three investment companies, who in turn have sold off stakes in the club to other investors.
